Often overlooked, Chinatown is the site of a rich history that not only tells the story of the Chinese-American experience, but also that of early Irish, Jewish and Italian immigrants. Today, remnants of the
neighborhood's European-American ancestry stand side-by-side with more recent Asian-inspired landmarks.
Although many neighborhoods have great Chinese restaurants, you can't beat the real deal. And Chinatown has many stores and a culture that is still very much part of the fabric of New York.
Chinatown is bordered by Delancey Street to the north, East Broadway to the east, Worth Street to the south and Baxter Street to the west.
